Steven Thomas

Steven R. Thomas, of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the age of 54.

A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Steve was a proud 1994 graduate of Penn State University. He spent his career working as a journeyman with Sheet Metal Workers Local #19. Steve retired earlier this year after 25 years of service.

Steve was a passionate soccer fan and enjoyed coaching for many years in Parkwood. Anyone who knew Steve, knew he never missed a chance to go shopping! But most of all, he loved food and truly enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

Beloved husband of 23 years to Kathleen (nee Dugan); loving father of Casey and Luke; and cherished son of Isleen (nee Goldberg) and the late Bernard Thomas. Steve will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Geri Butler (Chuck), Randi Thomas, Nadine Adelman (Vince) and Lisa Thomas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and members of the Dugan family.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home, 11010 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154; followed by his Memorial Service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be held privately at the request of his family.
