Shane Basquill

Shane P. Basquill, age 31, of Kiln, MS, formerly of Philadelphia and Warminster, PA, passed away tragically on September 7, 2026.

Shane was a remarkable person. He was smart, hardworking and funny. He was ambitious and driven to accomplish the goals he set for himself, but he always had time for his family and friends. He had an amazing smile that would draw you in, and a laugh that would make you not want to leave. Shane enjoyed being goofy with his family and always made sure to spread his love to his younger cousins.

Shane liked to hang out with his friends for a few drinks and share some laughs. As much as he liked to have fun, he never hesitated to help those in need. His favorite saying to his teammates at work was, "I got you". He enjoyed playing poker and gaming online as well has taking a ride in his Mustang. In his quiet time, he had an interest in art and drawing. Although dancing was not his strong suit, he never hesitated to step on the dance floor.

He is the cherished son of Patrick and Jennifer (nee DeNofa) and beloved brother of Kevin and Morgan. He was devoted to his girlfriend Amy Ladner, her mother Sonja Ladner and their dog Delilah. Loving grandson of Noreene (nee Hamm) Basquill, the late Joseph Basquill, the late Daniel DeNofa and the late Patricia (nee Schlupp) DeNofa. He will be missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his life celebration on Friday evening, September 25, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Diamondhead Country Club, 7600 Country Club Circle, Diamondhead, MS 39525.
