Roseann P. Spear

Roseann P. Spear (nee Lauria), age 70, of Philadelphia, passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 29, 2026.

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Roseann grew up in St. Barnabas Parish. After High School, she worked as an Administrative Officer with the Philadelphia City Council. Roseann worked with the City Council through 4 different Presidents and retired after 27 years of service. She continued to use her administrative experience with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament at the Shrine of Saint Katherine Drexel and later at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Croydon.

A faithful Communicant of Our Lady of Calvary Church for 33 years, Roseann was dedicated to her Church community, She was very involved with the OLC Home and School Association for many years and always made time to attend Church events and functions. Roseann was also a committed member of the OLC Stewardship Committee. In her free time, she liked to watch Baking shows and Police Dramas on TV and was an avid reader.

Beloved wife of Joseph A. Spear. Cherished mother of Alexis (Nick) Garito and Erica Spear. Dear sister of Julie (Sam) Kenish, Frankie (Kathy) Lauria and Michael (the late Marie) Lauria. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to offer condolences to her family on Wednesday November 4, 2026 from 4 - 6 PM at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd. Funeral Mass 6 PM. Rite of Committal will take place at 9:30 AM on Thursday November 5, 2026 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Please arrive at the cemetery by 9:15 AM.
