Rosamunde "Rosa" Sinese (nee Hochstraßer), passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was 93 years old.\n \nBorn and raised in Pürgl, Bavaria, Germany, Rosa was one of eight children born to the late Xavier and Maria Hochstraßer. She moved to the United States in 1954. While living in Germany, Rosa worked as a housekeeper and taught herself many traditional German recipes. She was an excellent cook and baker and will always be remembered for her delicious homemade apple cake, Christmas cookies, Buttercream Torte and German potato salad, which were staples at every family party or get together! Rosa enjoyed passing down some of these old fashioned recipes to her family.\n\nBeloved mother of Frederick Sipmeier (Renate) and Margie Caputo (Dan); grandmother of Frederick Sipmeier III, Dan Jr. (Gina), Jennifer and Anthony Caputo; loving Oma to her great grandchildren, Dylan, Kylie and Danny III; Tante to numerous nieces and nephews both here and in Germany. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Willy Sipmeier (Clare). \n\nRosa was predeceased by her husband, George Sinese.\n\nRelatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at St. Anslem Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.
