Reed Pridgen

Reed Palmer Pridgen, 89, of Glen Mills, PA died Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Reed was born on July 28, 1935 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late Robert Lee and Hettie Iroma Pridgen. He grew up on a farm as 1 of 10 children. Mr. Pridgen served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked at U.S. Airways prior to his retirement.

Reed was a very creative person who loved drawing, painting, woodcarving, sculpting and gardening. He was a lover of animals, especially his two small dogs. He was a Christian man who enjoyed church services and listening to music. He loved to have his family around him and share stories and laughs. Mr. Pridgen lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures and was loved by everyone that met him.

He was the father of the late Norma Pridgen and the late Robert Pridgen.

Reed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Jean Milnor Pridgen; his children, Cynthia Ottaviano (Frank), Margaret Harrison (Don), Wendy Kleinz (John) and David Pridgen (Danielle); He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He also had many nieces and nephews but shared a special bond with his niece Christine Marie Brossett, who visited him several times throughout the years.

His service will be private at the convenience of the family.
