Nancy Wendy Zane

Nancy Wendy Zane (née Stein), at a vibrant and youthful 78 passed away at home on October 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in N.E. Philadelphia, daughter of Arthur and Ruth Stein, Nancy was a strong, independent, and incredibly warm woman. Nancy started her career in radio at WPEN. She then went to work at KYW radio, where she managed commercial scheduling and ad placement. After taking time off from her career to raise her two daughters, Nancy returned to work in healthcare as a patient coordinator for a surgical practice.

In retirement, Nancy got involved in many organizations benefiting women and seniors including the Bensalem Senior Center, Red Hat Society, and the Northeast Senior Center where she served on the board as treasurer.

Nancy loved playing card games, including pinochle and rummy, although her favorite game was mahjong. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Richard and her girlfriends, going to the theatre, and curling up in her favorite chair and reading a good book.

Wife of the late Richard Zane (known as Dick). An adored mother of Michelle (Chris) Burke and Stacey (Paul) Linderman and stepmother to Beth Ann Zane. Devoted grandmother of Luke, Cameron, Hailey, and Cole along with step grandchildren Alexa and Jeremy. Loving sister of Sharon (Keith) Williams. Nancy is also survived by many friends that loved her deeply. She often said she was beyond rich in the friend category.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 noon at T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home, 11010 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Words of Remembrance and Time for Sharing will begin at 12 Noon.

A procession to Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002, for her burial will immediately follow.

The family requests that donations in Nancy's name be made to the Breathing Room Foundation, Inc. (https://breathingroomfoundation.org/) in lieu of flowers.
