Muriel Reynolds

Muriel Yvonne Reynolds (nee Woodward), of Philadelphia, affectionately known as "Toots", passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born and raised in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia, Muriel remained a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia. She was a proud 1954 graduate and active alumni of Little Flower High School for Girls and longtime loyal friend of the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.

Loving Mother of Linda (David) Sykes and Eileen (Charles) Oerleman; cherished Nan of David (Alicia) Sykes, Sean (Samantha) Sykes, Bridget (Eric) Clark, Shannon Sykes (Kevin O'Hara), Kelly Strybuc (Timothy) and Timothy (Gabrielle) Oerleman; Great Nan of Erin, Isla, Finn and future twin girls arriving any day. She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Mary Nastala; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Maryann Hagan and Sr. Mary Bernadette.

Toots was predeceased by her beloved husband, William A. Reynolds; her parents, Bernice (nee long) and Francis J. Woodward; and siblings; Frances, Frank, Rita, Helen and Margaret.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing and funeral on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
