Louise Litchendorf

Louise M. Litchendorf (nee Hentz), passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the age of 81.

A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Louise was a 1962 graduate of Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School. She dedicated her career to helping others as an Administrative Assistant with the Nursing Department at Jeanes Hospital.

In her retirement, Louise enjoyed shopping, spending Fridays at Parx Casino, and trying local restaurants with her lifelong friends, The Lunch Ladies. She loved cooking and preparing her traditional holiday meals for her family, and most especially making homemade meatballs or baking cookies for her granddaughter, Abby. Louise was a devoted fan and spectator at Abby's volleyball and softball games as well as dance and theatre performances.

Beloved mother of Eric (Emily) Litchendorf; cherished Oma of Abby Litchendorf; and dear Aunt Sis of William Betlejewski, Patricia (late Eric) Simmons and Susan (David) Joy and their families. Louise will also be deeply missed by her sister-in-law, Eileen (Edward) Herbst

Louise was predeceased by her sister, Patricia (late Bill) Betlejewski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 9:15 AM until 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, Interment will be held privately at the request of her family.
