Kenneth A. Proto, age 76, of Philadelphia, passed away on February 2, 2024. \n\nTo his friends and family, Ken was known for his big heart and kindness. He took great joy in the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a fixture at their games and events. Ken liked to take his grandchildren on day trips into the city to visit museums, historical sites or the zoo. He was a hard worker. His career was as a Police Dispatcher, but to his friends he was "Mr. Fix It". A Jack of all Trades, Ken was an accomplished carpenter, plumber, and electrician. He was always helping his friends and family with projects and repairs. In his quiet time, he liked to read and kept a large collection of books from which to choose.\n\nBeloved husband of Alicja (nee Gadomski). Cherished father of Yolanda Zambito, Isabel Zaleski and Robert Zaleski. Devoted grandfather of Jacklyn, Danielle, Christina, Nicole and Meadow. Loving great-grandfather of Brooke, Shane, Luke, Vincent, Ariana, Xavier, Mia and the late Richie. Dear brother of the late James and the late Vincent. \n\nServices will be private.
