Joseph Patrick Hogan Sr., age 62, of North Wildwood, formerly of North Wales and Philadelphia, passed away on December 21, 2022.\n\nBeloved father of Seana (Corey Evans) and Joseph Jr. Cherished brother of James and Lisa, and brother-in-law to Patty. He is preceded in death by his sister Patrice and brother Sean. He is survived by his loving companion Cherie Bobbitt and many nieces and nephews. \n\nDuring his lifetime, Joe touched many lives. He was a registered nurse for over 20 years, most recently employed by Holy Redeemer Hospital. Prior to his time as a nurse, he was a proud member of the Glaziers Local Union 252 and helped to build up the Philadelphia skyline. Throughout his entire life, Joe was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was a season ticket holder for years and shared his love of the game with many family members, friends and especially his son Joseph. C Lot and Section 110 were Hoag’s favorite places to be. E-A-G-L-E-S!!!!\n\nJoe spent many years marching in the Philadelphia Saint Patrick’s Day Parade with the Irish American Seashore Association of the Greater Wildwoods. He shared his love of parade day by giving out green salt water taffies to everyone along the parade route. \n\nIn his early years, he entertained so many of us with his stories when he tended bar in North Wildwood and in Northeast Philadelphia. He was absolutely a fan favorite. Regardless of when you met Joe, he was always known to have a quick wit and an amazing ability to make you laugh. He was a great storyteller and his tales are legendary. Joe left us with so many amazing stories that we will treasure and recant again and again. \n\nAbove all else, Joe loved his family and friends, especially his children. He always saw the best in people and was generous to a fault. He lived an extraordinary life full of love, laughter, tears and joy. Joe Hogan was unforgettable and will be truly missed. \n\nRelatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd. Philadelphia. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29,2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. All services will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Church.
