Ms. Gloria J. Hawthorne died peacefully in her home on June 27, 2023 in Philadelphia, PA at the age of 78.\n\nGloria is the cherished mother of Deena Centofanti and her husband Robert; Loving grandmother of Ryan and Evan Centofanti; beloved sister and best friend of Jane DeMarino and Carol Drioli and her husband John; She is also survived by her sister in law, Muriel Hawthorne and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, mother, her brother John W. Hawthorne, brother-in-law Ronald DeMarino and her daughter Dawn Loney. \n\nGloria was born on June 15, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to John Hawthorne and Eleanor M. Roche. She attended Northeast High School and has been a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. She has held many different jobs over the years, but most recently was with the Wendy’s Company. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. Always with her camera capturing memories to last a lifetime. She believed every day was a day to cherish and remember, especially holidays. Every birthday was to be celebrated and with the best cakes ever! Gloria enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore with her family, especially her grandsons.\n\nShe was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd where she taught Sunday School for most of her adult life, served as a Trustee and volunteered on various church committees. \n\nRelatives and friends may offer condolences to her family on Monday July 17, 2023 from 10 to 11 AM at Scottsville United Methodist Church, 2400 Brownsville Rd, Langhorne, PA.
