Edgar Hurtado

Hurtado, Edgar J., age 66, of Philadelphia, passed away on June 11, 2022. Born in Managua, Nicaragua, Edgar was a resident of Parkwood for over 30 years. He worked for the American Cable Company in Philadelphia with over 40 years of service. Edgar loved sports being an avid Phillies & Eagles fan. He was very family oriented, enjoying lots of time with his family eating a good meal. Edgar traveled often visiting Hawaii, New Orleans, Puerto Rico & Las Vegas.

Edgar is survived by beloved wife, Sonia. His adored children Joel A. Zurita (Beth) of Maryland, Nicholas E. Hurtado (Tiffany) of Hatboro, and Giselle M. Hurtado (Robert Gallagher). His cherished grandchildren Dominic V. Gallagher, Nicholas “Nico” E. Hurtado Jr & one on the way. He is the beloved son of Gabriela Hurtado (nee Aviles) & the late Carlos Hurtado. He will be missed by his siblings Daniel, Bruna, & Antionetta who are all still in Nicaragua.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 11 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
