It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Devon Gentile, who left us far too soon on December 28, 2024, at the age of 31. Devon’s life was a tapestry of talent, creativity, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born to his loving parents, Fred Gentile, and Danielle Deuber, Devon grew up surrounded by family and friends who cherished his vibrant spirit. He was an incredibly gifted artist, musician, hockey player, soccer player, and skateboarder—a true creative soul who left an impression on everyone he met.

Devon is survived by his devoted parents, Fred and Danielle, and a loving network of family and friends, including his cherished aunts Monique Junker (Craig), Jessica Mangan (William), Donna Gentile (Gene), grandparents Jackie Gentile and Daniel O’Donnell, and many cousins and countless friends who were like family to him. Each one holds precious memories of his kindness, humor, and remarkable talents.

Despite the challenges he faced in life, Devon recently found faith and a sense of peace, turning to God and finding comfort in his spiritual journey. This newfound hope brought him solace, and his family takes comfort in believing that he has been called home to eternal rest.

A celebration of Devon's life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM, at T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home 11010 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory, share stories, and find comfort in one another. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Devon's name to Samaritan’s Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org

Though his time with us was far too short, Devon’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, forever free and surrounded by love.
