Catherine Rooney

Catherine Marie Rooney (nee Rumley), passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the age of 63.

A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late Mary (nee Beatty) and George Rumley.

A dedicated and hardworking employee, she spent 22 years working as the Business Manager at Allegria at the Oaks. Cathy truly loved her job and continued to work up until 2 weeks ago.

Cathy was incredibly creative and skilled with her hands. From crocheting, painting, and sewing beautiful handmade pieces of clothing for her children to creating gorgeous cakes for weddings and showers, Cathy was multi-talented in the arts.

Cathy was the loving mother of Thomas B. Rooney and Lauren M. Rooney. She will also be deeply missed by numerous dear cousins, especially Jennifer Smyth.
