Catherine R. Gormley (nee Roland), of Philadelphia, passed away Nov. 7, 2020.\n\nCatherine was born July 1 to Walter and Molly Roland, but we are not allowed to tell the year. Although she was renowned for never holding back and had a knack for telling it like it is, she firmly believed that a woman never told her age or her weight. Kate loved life and laughter and the center of that life was her family. Above everything else, she loved spending time with her family. This time included game and poker nights, Myrtle beach vacations, Irish Weekend, phone calls (except between 7 - 7:30 PM when Jeopardy! was on), Dancing to Mambo #5 and her famous Nanny hugs and neck kisses. Kate lived her faith and loved Our Lady of Calvary Church, which she was a member of since 1963. She was a member of OLC Seniors #2 and enjoyed the time she spent with her friends at meetings, playing BINGO and taking trips. Kate liked shopping, going to the movies, lobster, Ice Cream, and the occasional Guinness beer which she always referred to as "breakfast in a glass" .\n\nWife of the late John G.
