Aubrey Parton Obituary (1946 - 2024) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Aubrey Lee Parton "Russ", age 77, of Philadelphia, passed away on January 20, 2024. Family, above all else, was the most important to Russ. His world centered around spending time with his wife, his kids and his grandchildren, some would even say that his grandchildren got the preferential treatment. No visit was ever complete without his grandkids getting the "upside down hugs" that they enjoyed. He was a country music fan and liked watching old Cowboy movies, however, any nostalgic TV shows would grab his attention. Russ enjoyed playing computer games especially Chess. He also kept a close eye on what the stock market was doing each day. A proud Veteran, he served in the Air Force during Vietnam from 1965-1966 with the 4th ACS. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Alven). Cherished father of Heather (Michael) Kulisek, Colleen (Ryan) Getz and Jeffrey Parton. Devoted grandfather of Anthony, Emily, Adam, Matthew and Olivia. Dear brother of William (Kim) Parton, Kay (Ralph) Grosso, the late Robert (Gloria) Parton and the late Michael (the late Gale) Parton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
